Are you stressed when creating report card comments that address the Ontario Social Studies Curriculum? Not sure how to incorporate the Big Ideas and Concepts of Social Studies Thinking as you teach, assess, and report on student progress?
This FREE resource demonstrates how I prepare for writing report card writing, beginning with the curriculum and ending with detailed comments that demonstrate your students’ progress towards becoming the engaged citizens we hope they evolve into.
Comments are provided for Grades 4, 5, and 6 for both Strand A: Heritage and Identity and Strand B: People and Environments. Each strand includes a “learning goal” which can become the first sentence of your comments, as well as specific examples of how students could demonstrate their mastery of those goals. Examples of “next steps” are also provided for each learning goal.
