Students are supported as they explore how the features of a community are important to that community’s growth and identity, and to determine “cause and consequence” relationships between environment and identity. The inquiry skill focused upon in this mini-unit is on primary and secondary sources, and students are asked to think about when each type of evidence is most useful in gathering information.
