This Communities in Canada, Past and Present: Part 4 – Life in a Settler Community resource is intended to support the 2018 Ontario Social Studies Curriculum for Grade 6. This digital unit has been created for use with Google Slides/Classroom™️, and is perfect for distance learning and/or students with accommodated IEPs.
Students are able to use Google Read & Write to listen to text and assist with written tasks if needed. Most text is editable, allowing teachers to make changes to better meet the needs of their particular students for many tasks.
Lessons:
❶ The Canadian Identity
❷ Patterns & Trends in Community Life
❸ Culture in One Community
❹ Ottawa: Home of Canadian Politics

★★★A PDF booklet with instructions for use and answer keys are included with this unit.★★★
(BONUS UNIT: This resource also contains the PDF version of Part 5 of my original unit, as I have chosen not to create a Google Slides product for Part 5. Simply look upon it as a free bonus file!)
This unit was created as a companion resource for our original unit in pdf form: Communities in Canada, Past & Present Part 4: Life in a Settler Community
