How much do your students know about Canadian government? This Canadian Government Scoot activity for Grades 4-6 is a great way to find out! This resource includes 30 different task cards, each containing a question about Canadian Government and Citizenship. One card is placed at each student’s desk, and students are given a response sheet to record their answers. Students rotate from desk to desk with their response sheets, writing their answers before the teacher calls “Scoot“, which is the signal to move to the next desk. Everyone will know the game is over when they end up back at their own desks.
This is an ideal activity to begin a government unit as an informal diagnostic assessment and/or as a review activity before a test.
This resource includes:
– teacher instructions
– 30 Scoot question cards (6 to a sheet)
– student response sheet
– answer key
There is a FRENCH version of this resource available here: Un Scoot du Gouvernement canadien et a citoyenneté
Note: I created this resource to accompany my Canadian Government & Citizenship. full unit, although it is not included in that product. It is an engaging, quick activity for any Grade 5 – 9 class.
