This Behavior Management Toolbox uses positive consequences to encourage your Grades 1 to 8 students to make the best possible choices for their actions, both individually and as a group. This management system requires setup only once, and then you are set for the rest of your teaching career!
This is a Powerpoint file that allows you to type in additional reward choices if you wish!
Materials Required:
• This resource file
• Some type of small tool organizer (such as those shown on the cover page)
• Poker chips, plastic two-sided counters, or some other durable small manipulative to use as “tokens”
• Permanent marker
• Business card holder (optional)
How the System Works:
The teacher assigns each student a number, and this number is replicated on tokens within the drawers. When a child is found exhibiting positive behavior, he/she has a token put in a special container. Once a week, 5 tokens are removed from the container, and those students can choose from the various rewards shown on reward cards contained in this resource. This resource explains how I implement this program in my classroom, using photographs as a guide.
